Absolutely. A bone bruise, unlike a "charley horse", is an actual diagnosis, arguably the worst kind of bruise to have, and Vinny's discomfort right now is extreme because bones are wrapped in skin-tight tissue packed with a ridiculous amount of pain nerve endings...but at least it wasn't a fracture. No doubt that ankle bone hurts like a flaming bitch, enough to keep a normal person in bed for a while; but as an NHLer he'll be able to skate as long as he can get the boot on. Probably a pair of goals and an assist vs. the stinkin' Flyers are his reward...
