I'm kind of arguing semantics here, but this line bugs me:

Offseason addition? I guess that's technically accurate if you consider a player moving up to the big club from the farm an "addition" .. which it is, but in that context, it makes it sound like the club acquired him from outside the organization. Not trying to get offended, just kind of an odd way of saying it.

Little off topic here, but I just looked at this year's schedule for the first time, really and noticed we play zero games against the West (I think). Did they do that to all teams what with the shortened season and all? No out-of-conference games?

I'm with you on this. The player we should shop is MAB as he now have a surplus of his skill-set with Hedman turning it on, Salo being a rock on the PP, and Brewer turning it on. Plus Barberio could replace him if needed while adding more.
