Obviously first and foremost the write-up on Conacher is nice. However I found it interesting how he described Quincey (reminder is who we received for Downie and then moved to Detroit in the deal that gave us the 1st rounder turned Vasilevski)

"Kyle Quincey remains a pylon on ice"

I'm still shocked Yzerman was able to turn Downie into a 1st round pick, but now that trade looks even better considering that pick turned into Vasilevski. On the other hand Detroit is in trouble. Their D looks awful (Quincey and Brendan Smith) and coupled with injuries that are piling up doesn't look like it will be improvong anytime soon.

Boy, it didn't take long. Schenn got suspended one game for hitting. Honestly it wasn't nearly as bad as what Malone did. But, if that is a suspension, we should not be seeing Lucic or Ovechkin very much this year.

Lucic has to stick around, at least until they play Buffalo.

Avalanche forward Ryan O'Reilly leaves KHL team, released from contract, on flight back to USA. Some say due to injury....hope not.

It's still odd to write that name and not think of Oz.

"No shit"...that was a good one, J. How about hockey being presented by...a hockey team? How would that be? Tonight's game presented to you by...the guys playing it!!

While we're at it...naming rights. Could we do some kind of massive Vulcan mind-meld where that whole idea just...vaporizes...and never comes back? The hockey arena is no more "St. Pete Times" than, I dunno, my toilet paper is...(less so, in fact)

The ovary boy should have gotten a game for leaving his feet going to the head of Conacher in game 1's introdution of the next bolt star.

Lucic and Ovy never seem to get the door.

Real sorry to hear that Downs is out for the year with an ACL injury.
Never good for a hockey player.
Heal well and fast Down's.
