I agree with Obama's statement. Simple and to the point. The fans are getting the shaft, not the players or owners.

The comments are even more stupid than usual. Most of the insults or slights don't even make sense. (WaiverWire, is that you?) <---cheap shot

Obama was asked to “pull some strings” to end the lockout back in October, when he appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
In October 2012 he was busy pulling something else
Silver lining of Grubergate scandal: It reveals graphically the hateful contempt harbored by the central authoritarian controllers for even their own supporters. Democrats can disprove Gruber's repeated assertions about their being stupid, but only if they repudiate the "ACA" sham and the criminal fraud that was committed against Democrat voters in order to dupe them into supporting it, and finally join responsible Republicans in killing and burying the thing.
