So this thread has turned into "Song & Music of the Quarter"

I've been digging these two songs for the last couple of weeks. Gotta listen to them back to back, they're a bit of a journey.

So I definitely wonder why the embedding isn't working... so they're linked instead.

Ah Muse, a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. Where else can you get Radiohead, Queen, and U2 all rolled into one? I'm waiting for them to put together an epic 10-minute+ song. I know they're capable. They give you smaller bits like Isolated System but I want more.

I will not argue one bit there. The Exogenesis series on The Resistance is kind of that 10 minute + song you're looking for, just broken up into 3 parts. But I hear you, anyway.

Thing I liked about their most recent album? They added some of my guilty pleasure, dub step.

Yeah, the Exogenesis suite is almost there.

I dig that a lot. I've heard it before but I can't figure out where. Is this a popular band? I don't listen to the radio at all, so I don't know what's in anymore...

Not that I know of. I heard them on a podcast I listen to the other day, looked 'em on on Grooveshark. I almost never listen to music on the radio, my finds come almost exclusively from seeded radio feeds on GS, talking to like-minded people, or browsing what my friends listen to on Spotify.

But, as far as where you heard this song? It was used in a commercial for Microsoft's Zune. That's my best guess.

Maybe it was the Zune commercial... I dunno. I just know I heard it somewhere and now I'm glad I know what it is.

Yeah, I don't listen to anything but Grooveshark and Pandora nowadays. Great places to find lesser-known music.
