Two-month-old news but news to me...just FYI they're keeping the third jersey exactly the same except updating the shoulder patch to the current version. No leaked photos or other information available about these or the other uniform tweaks they've hinted at. (Top Secret CIA and military operations? Read all about 'em in the NY Times! Recipes for crystal meth or roadside bombs? Pick a website & make your shopping list! Reliable info on lightning jerseys? Leakproof as the %$&*#! Hoover Dam.)

With no hockey to concern themselves with, our Lightning brass should be immediately recruited for national security duty

Just wondering if anyone has been able to locate any info or pix of what our regular jerseys for this season would have looked like with the promised addition of black trim...they obviously must have already been manufactured in case there was a season (unless it was secretly known by the owners since last spring that there would be none), but I have seen not one single leak, not even a blurry illicit photo...

So glad to be bumping this thread WITH hockey about to be played...it was looking mighty bleak there for a few months

Agreed Mike, that would about do it. This is so much better than the Leaf look, I'd challenge SFY, Leiweke, anyone to look us in the eye and say it isn't

Plus how cool would the current ad in slo-mo sound..."Let's bleed Black & Blue...let's play some hockey!"...rather than "Let's bleed blue," which is something fans in St. Louis and Toronto have already been doing for decades. That's their thing. This is OUR thing, which no one else has. Why copycat? How can you not prefer unique?

The part that gets a lot of people is, at the very least they could be using the black & blue gloves they already use with the 3rds
