Dare I say, intelligent design?
Proposing that question in this context is essentially moving the goalposts back an infinite distance. You'll never have the answer and it's basically a logical fallacy.

Most people just can't handle not knowing so they embrace the idea of some sort of magic.

Dark energy and matter aren't presumed to be magic. It's an admission that they don't know what it is, but plugging it in makes the equations work.

Those patterns and connections can be described with math. Much like the branching of trees and other things can be described with fractals. No need to invoke intelligent design.

Science isn't a religion. It's a method. At least when practiced properly.

I cannot believe that. Just can't. I just watched footage of a nuclear powered SUV-sized laboratory landing on effing Mars. MARS.

That's bad-ass. It's too bad we've been basically stuck in neutral since the 60's in space exploration. I feel that NASA gets a lot done with the money they receive, in relation to other programs.

That's pretty incredible stuff.

I'm a bit disappointed they picked another Mars mission over one to Titan. Can you imagine the pictures of that?
