Nagle, Piche, and the Everblades swept Elmira in southwest Florida to claim the series 4-1. The ‘Blades stole home ice advantage away from Elmira by winning Game 2 in New York, then won all three games at home to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Nagle lowered his goals against average to 1.36 in the 2-1 win. Florida scored both of their goals in the third period. They outshot Elmira by a large margin yet again, this time 43-19, including 19-4 in the third period. Florida will play the winner of third-seeded Kalamazoo and seventh-seeded South Carolina. The Stingrays won on Friday night to avoid elimination and a sweep. The K-Wings are up 3-1 in the series.
