Carolina prospect defenseman Ryan Murphy scored late in the second period to give Kitchener a 3-2 lead, which the Rangers made hold up for the duration of the game. Tanner Richard scored his seventh goal of the season on a penalty shot. He now has four goals in his last five games after starting the year with three in his first 32.
