Thunderbird Problem

I have been using Thunderbird for years and am now getting long streams of characters between the body of the email and any attachment I add. Any thoughts on getting rid of this crap? It distresses clients thinking it is a virus/malware and just annoys the hell out of me.

Check your signature file? Delete and then create it again?

Hmm.. Maybe you have PGP enabled?

Does it look like this?

No, this is an example of some of it. PGP is an add on that TBird does not automatically support. This garbled stuff will go on for pages in many different alpha numeric combinations and languages.

Thanks, didn't work.

Kinda looks like it's trying to embed it. Are you sending HTML mail? Switch it on or off depending what you have set and see if that does anything.

I'm stumped. Using the same version of thunderbird with the same options/settings on another machine with no such problem.

Odd! Tried a reinstall?

Yes. Guess I will just use the GMail internet app for sending attachments.

Pet peeve of mine, always considered browser based email "email for dummies".

Oh, that Thunderbird. From the title I thought I was not the only one that could not beat him in fantasy hockey. :)
