I have a mental image of Waiver :sheep: putting himself into the hospital with back problems contorting himself to simultaneously incite himself into frothy outrage over the actions of a private citizen who committed sexual harassment, who none of us would've been able to pick out of a police lineup two weeks ago, btw, while at the same time CONTINUING to be this board's most noted (and only) apologist for Trump's confessed multiple sexual assaults.

And, again... cutting through all the distortions and bullshit, here's how the "two sides" responded to similar cases of misconduct.
  • The so-called "liberal media" broke the story about Weinstein and he was universally condemned and forced to resign by "liberal Hollywood" just days later.
  • The Access Hollywood tape surfaced and the right wing immediately rushed to defend Trump (remember Arm Rest-Gate?) and doubled down on their efforts to get him elected President of the United States.

There's no both sides-ism in the above dialectic. One man lost his job and is now a social pariah. The other now resides in the Oval Office where bootlickers like Waiver :sheep: and his pals in the GOP continue to enable him.

If Waiver :sheep: and the GOP really do find this to be such an unbelievably important moral issue (which it is), then surely they'll be calling on Trump to resign immediately. Right? I mean, that's what Hollywood did to Weinstein... and Hollywood's a bunch of morally bankrupt evil leftist artsy types, right? So, if Hollywood even had the moral fortitude to force someone like this out once the misconduct came to light in the public sphere, surely the pure-as-the-driven snow and oh-so-moral GOP and Waiver :sheep: will do the same. Right? Right? There's no way that eeeevviiilll leftists like Susan Surandon, Sean Penn, and Danny Glover have more of a moral compass than Jesus and America lovin' rank and file Trumpsters like Waiver :sheep:, right?

:hysterical:

And until Waiver :sheep: does call on Trump to resign, you know he's just a hypocritical partisan hack (and pretty much a bad human being, to boot).

From media sources in that room, the board only canned him when the media reports went rampant.
Still demonstrably better than Waiver :sheep: continuing to dick ride Trump and making excuses for him even after the Access Hollywood tape came out on which he confessed to multiple sexual assaults.

:hysterical:

Demonstrably better. Let's be clear: he's criticizing people for eventually doing the right thing begrudgingly. That's fine if you want to have some sort of Kantian ethical debate about the purity of their motivations. But, it doesn't change the fact that Waiver :sheep: and the GOP TO THIS DAY still haven't done the right thing addressing Trump's actions.

One side of this dialectic took actions to punish a sexual predator. The other worked even harder to elevate a sexual predator to the office of the President.

That man has ZERO moral ground on which to be acting like such a sanctimonious asshole. ZERO.

It's just another bullet added to the Whatabout arsenal.

"What about Chicago?"
"What about the inner cities?"
"What about her emails?"
"What about Weinstein?"

Other people's shitty behavior doesn't excuse your (or the person you are carrying water for) shitty behavior.

That is the logic of a nine year old.

That there is any political equivalency between a Presidential candidate and a business leader that hasn't run for office with totally different outcomes.

I love the he only quit after it became public excuse. Even after the Trump tape became public, I only remember you defending him.

Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked. Not fair to public!

6 tweets today about Fake News, 2 tweets about the NFL.

0 tweets about 21 deaths in California from the wildfires.

I see Donnie Dotard has his priorities in order. Take his phone away, Gen Kelly!

AccuWeather CEO Barry Myers has been nominated as the administrator of NOAA.

If you don't know why that's a problem, read up about Rick Santorum and the National Weather Service Duties Act of 2005.

Alternatively, just understand that this is basically analogous to putting Scott Pruitt in charge of the EPA.

Ben Sasse just issued a press release asking him if he was renouncing his oath of office to protect the Constitution including the First Amendment.

The cracks are getting bigger. McCain. Flake. Corker. Sasse. Heís also had run ins with plenty of others like McConnell, most prominently.
