TB- Jokinen, St. Louis, Artyukhin

Ottawa tastes defeat at the shootout hands of the bottomless pit, Evgeny Artyukhin.

In past years, if the Lightning had the Sabres and Senators back-to-back on the schedule, most Lightning fans would be happy with 2 points and not getting blown out in either game, so this is the first time I can honestly say Barry Melrose and OK Hockey have changed the on-ice dynamic of the team for the better. The Lightning are now 4-3-3 on the season, thanks largely to the incredible goaltending of Mike Smith and Olaf Kolzig, and look like a team that is finally getting its footing. At the very least, Vincent Lecavalier is looking hot as a flamethrower right now.

Steven Stamkos had 3 shots on goal and was 38% on draws in 13:54.
