From the NY Post (http://www.nypost.com/seven/02072008/gossip/pagesix/sapphic_steam_441536.htm):
February 7, 2008 -- SCARLETT Johansson has a steamy lesbian sex scene with Penelope Cruz in Woody Allen's upcoming "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." A source tells us: "It is also extremely erotic. People will be blown away and even shocked. Penelope and Scarlett go at it in a red-tinted photography dark room, and it will leave the audience gasping." The women later have a threesome with Javier Bardem, who plays Cruz's husband. The film also stars Patricia Clarkson, Rebecca Hall, Kevin Dunn and Chris Messina.

switching places with Javier Bardem would make me an instant believer.
Wake me when it's Brad Pitt and Ewan McGregor..
And none of that lame ass Brokeback crap that lasted like 2 seconds and was totally unrealistic. There was more straight action in that movie than anything else. What a total letdown in an otherwise breakthrough film.
Unfortunately that'd automatically make it NC-17/X-rated just because it's guys instead of chicks.
Of course the rating itself wouldn't be a problem if it didn't mean a studio just wouldn't touch making it at all.

Really though, who'd want to get naked in front of Woody Allen, it'd be like undressing in front of your grandpa.

Well, first of all it's the New York Post, so that means there's at least a 40% chance this isn't true at all.
If it is... wow, Woody Allen's turning into a really dirty old man, isn't he.
Turning? Hasn't he always been that way?
And yeah, for all we know, Larry Brooks could be behind the rumor.. :p

Don't know if you've ever watched the fascinating "Indie Sex" series on IFC but what you're suggesting is among the great final frontiers for sex in mainstream movies. John Waters suggested that we're likely to see penetration within the next 5 years ... and then filmmakers will have to figure out how to start all over when it comes to shocking and titilating viewers in new ways. Really though, the U.S. still lags far behind the rest of the world when it comes to pushing these envelopes. So "Brokeback" was about as big a breakthrough as one could conceivably expect. The studio system is so bad now, it's hard to even recall that films like "Midnight Cowboy," "Last Tango in Paris" and "A Clockwork Orange" were rated X.

Lindsay Lohan as Marilyn Monroe in "The Last Sitting" (http://media.nymag.com/fashion/08/spring/44247/)
That link might be a little too racey for the kids.
Need a NSFW emote, heheh..
Oh for some reason I missed Bolthed's post. Haven't seen that series but sounds interesting.. I heard "This Film Is Not Yet Been Rated" is a good documentary on stuff like that, too. Gotta get around to it.
