 Now be honest, you weren't that surprised, were you?

(for those who's minds are still reeling from the Recchi signing, please note that this is a joke) ;)

A good way to get yourself moderated, narrow_way! ;)

Honestly, I don't understand what the fuss over two graybeards are. It's just two. Same as the Cup year.

I saw the title & thought "I hope it's not to play" :pound:

Oh come on...

There's no salary room for Ledyard after an entire checking line was signed late last night (5:30, after the early-bird special was over).

We'll have the best shuffleboard team in all of the NHL.

If they don't go on strike because game time will interfere with dinner at Kountry Kitchen Buffet, that is.

The scariest thing is that until I opened the thread, I actually believed it.

Is it true the Lightning are going to put a Shoney's in the Plaza concourse level this year?

This thread is full of WIN. That geriatric hockey pic is priceless.

"So can you comment on the lack of physical play in the corners in the 3rd period?"

"We can’t bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell ‘em stories that don’t go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. ‘Give me five bees for a quarter,’ you’d say. Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...""

Where do you find such perfect pictures like this!? It almost looks like an intentional kicking motion there. No goal.

I believe the proper term for it is curling!

Uh-huh. Maybe the Forum will hand out free packages of Depends as a monthly promo. And expect more fiber-rich foods at the concession stands. :gimmesome:

And the checking line has been tasked to backcheck to aid the inexperienced/overage defense.
