What's the Lightning's record in Boston, isn't it something like 2-43423109434129873456?

Gesh, it's not really that bad.
2-20-0-6.
They can just go for that tie and force the SO and let Jokinen win it.

So out of a possible all-time 56 points in Boston, the Lightning have earned... 10. Wow.
Even worse, this probably means I have to listen to Jack Edwards call this game for NESN. MINE EARS HAVE HEARD THE HORROR!

Win one for us Bolts. Win one for me. Put a scare into the Bruins fans who thought they had a playoff spot sewn up.
It reminds me of a Whalers story. :bounce:
Me and a few friends are out in Hartford one night a few days from a late-season Whalers at Bruins game. We see Jocelyn Lemieux, Claude's little brother, at the bar. One thing leads to another and we're talking to him. My friend Doug was the most passionate Whalers fan of all of us and he was urging Jocelyn to get the team up in the meaningless end of the season game and ease our pain..
Long story short, the Whalers came up with a big effort and beat the hated teddy Bears and Jocelyn was quoted in the paper the next day "I was talking to a few Whalers fans the other night.....

Per EE's blog
As far as tonight’s game, Mike Smith back in net for Tampa. The plan is to basically split the goaltending duties the rest of the way, so Smith in after Ramo was in net Tuesday against the Islanders.
Lines and lineups the same for the Lightning with Doug Janik the lone scratch (not counting Andre Roy, of course).
For the Bruins, Zdeno Chara is out for the third consecutive game with an undisclosed (shoulder?) injury and Tim Thomas is in net.

Glad Ramo gets to split the starts, not too demoralising for Smith as he doesnt have to deal with loss after loss and Ramo gets some experience.
Now if only they would bring up Mihalik and Smaby....

Hey, this season they're 1-2-0 against Boston...so if they win tonight it'll be .500. How's that for optimism.
Torts must really have it in for Janik to not let him play a shift in his old home town.

Poor Janik does appear to be Torts' fall guy, WTH. He's no stud at defense, but it's not like other guys (SOB, Luke, and lately Boyler & Ranger) don't either. Give the guy some minutes or send him to Norfolk, I say.

Smith's new gear looks sharp, although I think his mask is a little underwhelming, a little too Ocean Spray or something.
But that might just be the stark contrast to Ramo's "Brain" mask.

Halpern out for the game.
Also .. was that .. Karlsson? Couldn't have been. Can we find out who just scored that goal? Because it wasn't Andreas Karlsson.

Did you like that Killer move?!?
I couldn't believe it either. When I saw it was him who received the turn over I was like, damn of all the peo-WTH!!!!? SCORE!
Not sure I like Smity's mask. The beach scene over to the stormy weather on the other side looks kind of cool, but that big Bolt down the middle looks kind of silly. Would've been better with the Bolt logo in the middle or something.
*Smity's play however is looking pretty sharp so far.

That was a rush job as he already had a blank mask. The painter had it to start a new Dalas mask. Told him to get him something quick for Tampa. I think he said he will do another in the off season.

Do you think someone got in Smith's ear?
He was much smarter about going after the puck today. He was focused and sharp.

Wow! What a nice head of steam we got going now. Ditto to whoever was saying earlier that the team needs to unleash their anger at not making the playoffs on all remaining opponents. Now instead of saying "oh goodie, the Lightning are coming to town," playoff bubble teams can watch the scoreboard in dismay as we upend another would-be contender. Not sure who put what in Killer's water bottle tonite, but hopefully there's more in that batch of brew!

This team showed quite a bit of fire throughout the first two periods, I couldn't believe it. Its like a playoff game despite them being completely out of it. Third period was still standard, not a single shot until almost 15 minutes in? That has to change next season. Good fun game to watch overall though, if they showed this kind of tenacity throughout the season we would be talking about seeding for the playoffs instead of seeding for the lottery.

I think the Columbus game was nothing more than everything catching up with him. He had been lookiing for a place to live and with the trade, the storm and being in a new place just wore him out.

Figures the Bolts get one of those rare wins in Boston when it barely counts and I'm not there to see it (was at the USA-Panama soccer Olympic qualifier watching Adu score), hahah.. Any more info on Halpern's injury? Happy he got another goal and that Smith bounced back.. :clap2:
Wow that mask is pretty weird though I sorta like the attempt at something that fits the Florida theme (sort of like Denis' gator nod).. If it was night time instead of day time it'd match the team colors better. But if it's a temp one anyway no use complaining..

I seen him go hard into the post. I am not sure if that is what caused it, I couldn't hear the game since I was at a loud bar but they kept replaying it on the screen. Anyone else explain better?

That mask will look better with the black jersey. Also I liked seeing Smith grinning at Phil Kessel after he swallowed up that breakaway attempt.
Karlsson's goal was one of the most shocking goals I can remember. That was the move Vinny tried against Kiprusoff in Game 7 back in '04, and it didn't work then. Now it works with that guy? Unbelievable.
Aha, couple more mask shots.. Looks better head on..

Strained back muscles.
Checked from behind and fell toward post,no intent, just one of those deals.
Lightning looked a little lost after he went out ,,but played well enough to do something they rarely do, Beat Boston at Boston.
7-11-21 have found some majic together.
Smitty's helmet:hockeypuck:better color,but could Man it up a bit.
But as long as he STOPS the puck .He can wear a bucket on his head:thumb:

Vinny gets to 100 pts and Marty to 90

Smity was looking sharp in net boy. I was excited watching him play. Although some times when he heads behind the net to make a pass up forward I'm thinking "oh shit" once in a while. I think it was in the 3rd he did that and passed it (although a good pass) directly to a Bolt defender, but there was Bruin guy right there with him. After the game I flipped right to the Dallas game and there was Turco, right behind the net doing the same thing....
It's on tbo.com and tampabay.com that he is going to work on a new mask over the summer. Maybe we should have a pool going to what will be on it. Besides the obvious Bolt.
Karlsson!! That was a Killer move. I still can't believe it.
Vinny has 5 goals in the past 3! Now to get Marty to catch some net.

Forsberg 1 Karlsson 1.
I think this brought "Killer's" total to 2. He's on a roll now, at this pace his next goal should come about six weeks into next season.:whoo:
I was actually referring to the breakaway move...
