Since the #1 feature request was an ignore feature, you guys can control your ignore list from your UserCP. That link should on the top toolbar all the way to the left. Once inside your UserCP, scoll down and at the bottom of the left side navigation panel under Miscellaneous, you'll see a link for setting your Buddy/Ignore lists.

Hmm. Can't seem to undo the avatar button, so I can't display my avatar. Sig works okay.

I *gave* you an avatar. See if you can change it now...

YES! Bigger avatars and sigs! And Ignore feature! w00t..

I still have to get around to making a Paypal account for donating, too. Thanks Tim and to those who have already chipped in. This is great. :)

Ah I notice the rep feature is on too. It's been dramarific on other boards I've been to, but I'm sure we can handle it here. Heck we managed with the stars on Sun..

Edit: I seem to have no option to set my own avatar either. Could be a group permission issue with Junior Members..

No. Sorry can't I can only now push undo, but there is nowhere that I can change the avatar picture. I could be just dense.

Try uploading a custom avatar now, Hoek. There did seem to be a permission switch I needed to set.

Re: reputation feature... yeah it was on by default and I'm not that familar with it... whatever the community wants, I don't care.

Re: donations... the Paypal link accepts direct credit card debits. You don't *have* to have a Paypal account. Perhaps I should make that clear on the BP site.

You're not dense. It's me. I needed to flip a switch. Try again.

Tim, while you're flipping switches, can I get a bigger avatar too? :D I think mine's still at default, and default is so teeny.

Hoek, I've never really used the rep stuff either. We'll see how it goes, hopefully no one gets too offended. I only cry every other night now about not having 5 stars on SSN...

We want input! Please post your thoughts or PM someone with ideas or questions.

What size are good sizes for avatars? Avatar sizes are currently set at 80x80. What do you need?

Had no problems adding an avatar myself, and 80x80 works for me. If others prefer larger, I guess that's cool.

Thanks for setting this up, guys. Now hopefully we can get some traffic migrating over from SSN.

Unless you guys want to see the BP Staff shamelessly pimp their own message board at SSN, HF, and TBL, then it would nice if someone would go pimp it for us. :)

We're not above that... but you know... little help would be appreciated...

I like 150x150, but they actually look pretty decent now that I look at the board with some posts on it! Maybe 100x100 or leave it as is? Anything bigger might be too big, your call.

I second the request for others to go a-pimpin'! I have the BP site on my HF sig file and don't want to push it, lol.

Astro brings up a good point...if you aren't getting the confirmation e-mail, check your junk folder.

Well if the post layout is going to be like this with avatars and personal info above each post rather than to the left of it (should be a switch), then avs probably shouldn't be bigger than 100x100..

The main reason reputation got out of hand on the other board I've seen it used at was the fact that you have to leave comments and rate people on specific posts. It pretty much turned into a tool for trolling and flaming, since people would just abuse it and neg rep someone because of disagreement rather than legit reasons. I think repping isn't anonymous by default either, which led to a lot of reciprocation. Anyway, just throwing that experience out there. Not saying it's guaranteed to fail.

I believe so.

Go to http://www.boltprospects.com and you'll see a PayPal Tip Jar near the top left. You don't have to have a PayPal account to give, PayPal will let you donate via a direct credit card transaction.

Thanks!

I've switched off reputation stuff. If there's a large public outcry, I can turn them back on.

The current layout with the avatars and personal info above the post is vBulletin v3 style, while the layout with that stuff on the left is v2 style. I can switch back to the v2 style. Which do you prefer?

No, I was looking for a feature that once I read a post and come back and click on the thread I am directed to only the posts that I had not read. The arrow takes me directly to the last post of the thread even if there are other posts I had not read.

Seems like this functionality might available in the form of an addon module. Gimme a day or so...

By the way... and this goes for all BPCF members, don't hesitate to request any kind of features you don't see/find. The *best* way is to click on the Contact Us (http://boltprospects.com/forum/sendmessage.php) link that you find in the footer of every page. That will send an email to me. I might not read *every* post... And you can always PM me as well. But, an email sitting in my email will likely garner more attention.

Tim just set up a new board called the Janitor's Closet (http://boltprospects.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9) to make it easier for him to see & keep track of technical problems & requests.

I split up the issues from this thread into separate threads (which they've now made very simple, thankfully). If you have any other problems or requests, please start a new thread there & Tim or I will get back to you ASAP. PMs are always welcome also, just click on someone's name & you'll find the link to PM them on the next screen.

Closing per Tim's request...
