Johan Harju had an assist and 1 shot on goal in 14:05, but it was not enough as Latvia upset Sweden 3-2 in penalty shots. Martins Karsums had a power play assist and scored on his attempt in the shootout session. Harju's lifelong teammate and Edmonton property Linus Omark had 2 assists and 4 shots on goal in 16:15.

Karri Ramo allowed 1 goal on 19 shots in Finland's 5-1 win over Denmark.
