Wait a minute....

So, someone please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we (Tampa) have the worst overall record in the league last year? Yes, sadly I do believe we did. With that said though that should give Tampa the first crack at players that are put on waivers from other teams around the league. With that said, how in the world could the Tampa brass have passed on claiming a talented young D-man like Kyle Quincy who was put on waivers by the Wings and picked up by the LA Kings. Quincy who has been hidden in the Wings system for a while now was a numbers casualty in their system. It's bad for the Wings having to give him up but it's great for the Kings who just lost young star D-man Jack Johnson for the next 2 to 3 months. I know the Bolts apparently have their eyes on Marek Malik at the moment to bring in some veteran depth on defence, but really? How could you pass on a talented up and comer like Quincy? I know the Bolts are bolstering a young and inexperienced defense, and it shows, and they want more of a veteran presence, but come on, really? Adding a player like Quincy is adding another young player but he is a step up over a couple young guys back there already. Also, he'd continue to grow, develop, and get better with more playing time in the system. If the Bolts had a crack at him, which I would think they would, and they passed on him I just would like someone to please explain to me why. Well, if it is humanly possible to find the logic to do so anyway.
