That is proving to be a near impossible task. Drummondville, an offensive juggernaut, has averaged 6 goals per game in three games. They’re simply a machine. Game 4 is Wednesday night in Rimouski – and this could be the last meeting between the two before the Memorial Cup, which is hosted by the Oceanic. Cunti has points in all three games of the series so far and his last five games total (2-3-5). His fourth goal of the playoffs tied the game at 2 for Rimouski midway through the third period. Chris DiDomenico (Leafs) had three assists for the Volts and now has points in all 11 playoff games (4-28-32). WHL Playoffs – Conference Finals Vancouver Giants 3 @ Kelowna Rockets 2 Vancouver leads Best of 7 series 2-1 C James Wright, VAN: 0-1-1, -1, 0 PIM Playoff totals: 14 GP, 3-7-10, +2, 6 PIM Season totals: 71 GP, 21-26-47, +26, 54 PIM Vancouver’s Lance Bouma (Flames) scored his seventh of the playoffs with just over a minute remaining in the game to lift the Giants to a 3-2 road win and reclaim home ice advantage in the series. Wright, who remains on the top line with Evander Kane and Garry Nunn, earned an assist on a first period power play goal by Nunn (undrafted) that tied the game at 1. He was on the ice for Bouma's game winner, skating with Bouma on a 2 on 1. Bouma used Wright as a decoy and fired a shot under the crossbar. The Giants killed off a lengthy 5 on 3 in the third period, led by Tyson Sexsmith (Sharks), who stopped a total of 33 shots in a First Star effort for Vancouver. Game 4 is Wednesday in Kelowna. From Gregg Drinnan (Kamloops Daily News): “How big is the rivalry between Kelowna and Vancouver? Dave Sheldon, the Giants’ director of broadcasting and media relations, reported on his pregame show that he entered a Kelowna restaurant Tuesday while wearing Giants gear and was refused service unless he ditched the apparel. Did he peel? Uh, no. He said he went elsewhere.” USHL Note Game 1 of the West Division Finals (Clark Cup Semifinals) between Luke Witkowski and Fargo and the Lincoln Stars will begin Wednesday night in Nebraska.
