So close. Johnson needed three points to tie Kings prospect and Medicine Hat Tigers forward Linden Vey for the league scoring title. As it was, Johnson got a late assist and an empty net goal to come within one point of sharing the Bob Clarke Trophy. He finished the season with career highs in games, goals, assists, points, and plus/minus. His previous career high for points was 71, set last season in 64 games. Johnson did win the WHL goal scoring title. Spokane will play Chilliwack in the first round thanks to Vancouver’s 5-0 win Sunday over Everett, which propelled the Giants into fourth.
