OHL
Guelph Storm 3 @ Kitchener Rangers 5
C/W Richard Panik, GUE: 0-0-0, -1, 4 PIM (boarding, unsportsmanlike conduct)
With Guelph: 20 GP, 10-12-22, -8, 32 PIM
With Belleville: 27 GP, 14-17-31, E, 33 PIM
Season totals: 47 GP, 24-29-53, -8, 65 PIM
Guelph fought back from a 4-1 deficit to make it 4-3 with just over a minute to go, but Kitchener defenseman Ryan Murphy, a likely top-10 pick in this summer’s draft, scored his second of the game and 21st of the season into an empty net to seal the win for the Rangers.
WHL
Prince George Cougars 5 @ Edmonton Oil Kings 6
RW Brett Connolly, PG: 1-1-2, +3, 2 PIM (interference), *Second Star*
Season totals: 40 GP, 29-20-49, -4, 20 PIM
Prince George let 4-1 and 5-2 leads disappear as the Oil Kings scored four times in the third period to steal a win. Connolly’s 29th of the season opened the game’s scoring. He is within one goal and 11 points of his career highs, set as a 16 year old in 2008-2009.
