TC started their two-game set with Spokane two points behind the Chiefs for third in the Western Conference and three points behind Portland for first (B.C. Division leader Kelowna is seeded second). The Ams dropped the first game – at home – to the Chiefs 6-2, then were soundly beat Monday 5-1. The loss leaves TC five points behind third place Portland and six behind Spokane, who took over the top spot from the Winterhawks.
