Penticton Vees 8 @ Quesnel Millionaires 4
C Brendan O’Donnell, PEN: 3-0-3, 0 PIM, *First Star*
Season totals: 54 GP, 25-42-67, 24 PIM

Fargo Force 4 @ Indiana Ice 1
C Jimmy Mullin, FGO: 0-2-2, +2, 0 PIM, 4 SOG, *Second Star*
Season totals: 34 GP, 15-25-40, +19, 20 PIM

Mullin is now tied for ninth in the league in total points and is fourth in plus/minus. The league leader in points, Indiana’s Blake Coleman (undrafted), had the Ice’s only goal of the game. Coleman, a Miami (Ohio) commit like Mullin, is 12 points ahead of anyone else in the league at 60 in 41 games. This is his second season in the USHL.

Val-d’Or Foreurs 0 @ Gatineau Olympiques 3
D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-0-0, +1, 2 PIM (interference), 2 SOG, 1 Hit
Season Totals: 47 GP, 6-20-26, +9, 28 PIM

Gatineau scored twice in the last two minutes of the second period, then added an empty netter with 21 seconds left to finish the game’s scoring. Janosik is third among Gatineau defensemen in points.

Owen Sound Attack 2 @ Plymouth Whalers 1
D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: Did not play (injured - broken arm/wrist)
Season totals: 45 GP, 1-19-20, +17, 14 PIM
G Michael Zador, OS: Win, 36 saves on 37 shots, *Second Star*
With Attack: 10 GP, 7-1-0-0, 2.87 GAA, .908 sv%, 0 SO
With Oshawa: 18 GP, 10-3-1-1, 3.36 GAA, .879 sv%, 1 SO
Season Totals: 28 GP, 16-4-1-1, 3.19 GAA, .890 sv%, 1 SO

Zador came up big for the Attack, who was outshot 37-20 in the game. Zador, a backup with Owen Sound, extended his personal winning streak to five games.

Tri-City Americans 2 @ Spokane Chiefs 7
RW Carter Ashton, TC: 0-0-0, -1, 4 PIM (interference, roughing)
With Tri-City: 13 GP, 6-13-19, E, 30 PIM
With Regina: 29 GP, 16-11-27, -12, 44 PIM
Season Totals: 42 GP, 22-24-46, -12, 70 PIM

TC pasted first-place Portland in their last game, then faltered on the road against Spokane, who sits directly in front of the Americans in the division and conference standings, now three points ahead. Ashton had 14 points (six goals) in his first six games with TC, but has just five points (no goals) in his last seven with the club.

Prince George Cougars 1 @ Calgary Hitmen 4
RW Brett Connolly, PG: 1-0-1, -3, 0 PIM
Season totals: 43 GP, 33-21-54, -6, 22 PIM

Connolly has at least a goal in four consecutive games. He has a seven game point streak. This loss will not sit well with the Cougars, who are battling for playoff positioning and were playing the league’s worst team Saturday.

Saskatoon Blades 5 @ Moose Jaw Warriors 3
D Teigan Zahn, SAS: 0-0-0, -1, 2 PIM (roughing)
Season totals: 56 GP, 3-13-16, +19, 123 PIM

Saskatoon extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games.
