North American Juniors Game Night: 10-7-11

Results from the USHL, QMJHL, and OHL...

Des Moines Buccaneers 3 @ Green Bay Gamblers 5

G Adam Wilcox, GB: Did not play (backup)
Last Season’s Totals: 16-6-1, 2.20 GAA, .922 sv%, 1 SO

Wilcox sat for the second straight game to start the season as Green Bay’s All-Star goaltender Ryan McKay got the start and saved 25 of 28 shots. McKay was expected to join Miami University this season until Miami’s starter decided not to go pro and return to school. The domino-effect meant McKay stayed in the USHL another year and Wilcox, a University of Minnesota commit, will not take over as the No.1 goaltender for the Gamblers this season as originally expected.

Windsor Spitfires 5 @ London Knights 2

C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 1-0-1, -1, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 6 GP, 4-3-7, +2, 6 PIM

Namestnikov’s goal scoring streak reached three games, but it wasn’t enough as the Knights dropped their first game of the season, 5-2 at home to Windsor. Dallas Stars first rounder Jack Campbell stopped 38 of 40 shots in the win.
