NHL Game Night: 3-5-20 Canadiens at Lightning

Lightning get right against depleted, sinking Habs.

TB-4

Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped all 32 shots he faced for the shutout victory. He made a couple of key situational saves early in the game and didn't face many quality chances thereafter. This was a good performance though, and one that hopefully gets him back onto a hot streak after a few cold performances in the past few weeks.

You could see the Lightning starting to turn the corner late in the Boston game. Mind you, the number of shots and chances were too low in this one, but you're playing a Claude Julien team parking the bus. So, I'm not reading too much into that. Besides that, the Lightning played a pretty tight defensive game and very physical, too. Stylistically and results-wise, this is where they need to be.

Mitchell Stephens blocked 1 shot in 14:19. He was also 54% on 13 draws.
