It might've been a bit due to fatigue, but I thought although the Lightning played reasonably well in this game they played New Jersey's game by keeping to the outside against a collapsing team structure. So, while they got shots, they weren't really getting enough quality scoring chances and they made the game easier for Louis Domingue than it would've been if the team had played more of a muscular, meat and potatoes style. Hopefully they learn from it in video session. Sometimes when you're playing a ton of games in a compressed schedule you take the path of least resistance rather than going to the dirty areas in search of some greasy goals, and tonight was a night the Lightning needed to manufacture a couple of greasy goals.

Carter Verhaeghe was -1 with 1 shot in 6:55.

Mitchell Stephens was -1 with 1 shot, 1 hit, and 1 blocked shot in 12:36. He was also 27% on 11 draws.

Alexander Volkov had 2 hits in 6:26.
