Wilcox allowed three goals in the first period, then shut out the Eagles the rest of the way to earn a 3-3 tie. BC won the shootout between the traditional college hockey powers, 2-1, but the game will go down as a tie. They will play again on Saturday. Minnesota was playing its first game of the season as the NCAA’s top-ranked team.
