Freshman Adam Wilcox (pictured, Star-Tribune photo) got the start after serving in a relief role on Friday night and got the win for the top-ranked Gophers over Michigan Tech. It was the Gophers first WCHA win in two tries; they lost 5-3 to the Huskies on Friday. Seth Ambroz (Blue Jackets) had two goals for the Gophers, who outshot Michigan Tech 34-18. The game was tied at two entering the final period.
Canisius Griffins 1 @ No. 12 Western Michigan Broncos 2

The Broncos completed a 2-game sweep of the Griffins with a close win on Saturday night. Broncos captain Luke Witkowski notched his third point in four games. Lightning free agent target Danny DeKeyser had a goal and an assist for WMU. Witkowski and his defensive partner, DeKeyser, both assisted on Trevor Elias’ game winning goal with three minutes left in regulation.
