Halifax took Game 1 of their first round series with Charlottetown, 6-3, outshooting the visiting Islanders, 51-18. Drouin, who was named QMJHL First Star for the month of March, had three points and a team-leading 12 shots on goal.

Blujus scored his fourth career playoff goal to help North Bay to a 4-0 Game 1 shutout win over Niagara. Blujus’ goal was the game-winner, scored early in the second period on the power play. All of North Bay’s goals came in the middle frame.
