Lightning prospect Nikita Kucherov extended his point streak to eight games with an assist as the Huskies avenged a Thursday night loss to the Cataractes. After the game Kucherov tweeted “Again my hand…” indicating he re-injured himself. He missed a couple weeks after the World Junior Championships with an undisclosed injury, which was thought to be an arm or hand. Hopefully he’s not out too long, if at all.

Brampton’s Matej Machovsky (undrafted) and London’s Anthony Stolarz (Flyers) both had shutouts through 65 minutes in London’s 1-0 shootout win on Friday.

Dotchin got in a third period fight to get his teammates going, and reportedly motioned to the bench as he skated by to help the cause. It worked as Barrie rallied from a 2-0 deficit at the time of the fight to tie the game and win in a shootout. Dotchin wasn’t around to see it as he was kicked out for a helmet infraction during his fight against Ryan Hutchinson.

Jordan DeKort (2013) had 46 saves and Kerby Rychel (2013) two goals for the Spitfires. Windsor’s Slater Koekkoek is out for the season with an injured shoulder.
