Fadden (pictured - amshockey.com photo) scored on the power play with just under five minutes left in the game. Tri-City is still awaiting the return of Chet Pickard from the World Junior tournament. Everett finally traded much-maligned forward Kyle Beach (Chicago Blackhawks), sending him to Lethbridge this week. Everett received a First Star game from newly acquired (Kootenay) goaltender Thomas Heemskerk.

Tokarski is home in Saskatchewan resting after the World Junior tournament before re-joining the Chiefs. His backup, James Reid, has gone 4-5 with a shutout in Tokarski’s absence. In three January games, Reid is 1-2, but with a 1.68 GAA and .920 save percentage. For the year, the 5’11” rookie’s numbers are 1.87 and .929 (7-5-0-1).
