D Michael Ward, LEW: 1-0-1, E, 0 PIM, 1 SOG
Season totals: 30 GP, 4-12-16, -2, 41 PIM

Ward scored on a rebound off a goal-mouth scramble on the power play. Lewiston goalie Peter Delmas (Colorado) became only the second QMJHL goalie in history to be credited with a goal. (Lewiston Sun-Journal:) "With a delayed penalty call coming to Lewiston defenseman Eric Gelinas, Benjamin Breault circled in the Lewiston end, waiting for the extra attacker to join the fray from the bench. His pass back to the point off the boards missed everyone, though, and glided down the still-fresh ice, glancing off the left post of the vacant Quebec cage and into the back of the net."

Rimouski Oceanic 4 @ Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 1
W/C Luca Cunti, RIM: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM, 3 SOG
Season totals: 29 GP, 7-15-22, E, 16 PIM

Rimouski’s goaltender, Maxim Gougeon (undrafted), became the first goalie in Q history to score a goal and third to be credited with one when just minutes after Lewiston’s Delmas was credited with a goal in Maine, Gougeon let go of a rink-length shot into an empty Cape Breton net. The first goalie to be credited with a goal in the Q was Andre Lafleur of PEI in 2005.

Fadden has a five game point streak in which he has 10 points. This was Teddy Bear night in Tri-City. Stat of the Night: The Americans are a cuddly 7-0-1 (tie) on Teddy Bear nights according to Gregg Drinnan of the Kamloops Daily News. On Teddy Bear nights, fans bring stuffed animals to the game and throw them onto the ice after the home team’s first goal. Toys are then gathered and given to Toys for Tots. Fadden’s goal just 58 seconds into the game resulted in 2,513 (they counted) stuffed animals pelting the ice. It’s important to note that Teddy Bear is a general term here, as according to the Tri-City paper, Tigger, Pooh, Shrek’s Donkey, Nemo and a 4-foot dolphin from California went airborne.

Note: More than 15,000 bears were thrown on the ice in Calgary a couple years ago. Click here to see.
