C Brendan O’Donnell, PEN: 3-1-4, 0 PIM, *Second Star*
Season totals: 25 GP, 12-16-28, 8 PIM
It was a good day for the Fighting Sioux Sunday as O’Donnell notched his first BCHL hat trick (and an assist), while fellow North Dakota commit Mark MacMillian had a hatter plus 2 assists for First Star honors in a Vees win. Penticton scored 7 times in the second period, including O’Donnell’s 3. MacMillian was chosen by Montreal in the fourth round of this past summer’s draft. He’s a native of Penticton.
Gatineau Olympiques 3 @ Baie-Comeau Drakkar 2
D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-1-1, +1, 0 PIM, 0 SOG, 0 Hits
Season Totals: 24 GP, 2-8-10, +5, 16 PIM
Janosik has 5 assists in his last 7 games. B-C hasn't won in 25 games (0-19-3-3).
Barrie Colts 4 @ Oshawa Generals 7
G Michael Zador, OSH: Win, 22 saves on 26 shots.
Season Totals: 16 GP, 9-3-1-1, 3.41 GAA, .879 sv%, 1 SO
Despite the win, which is obviously the priority, Zador’s GAA and save percentage numbers actually got worse. At this point, however, the only way Zador will regain his No.1 position is to keep getting victories. His partner in net, Kevin Bailie, is 4-2-1-1 with a 2.60 GAA and .899 save percentage.
