Wright’s goal put double-digits on the scoreboard for the Giants. Seattle starter Calvin Pickard was pulled after giving up seven goals. Jacob DeSerres then gave up three on 10 shots. It was DeSerres who challenged Lightning first rounder Riku Helenius for playing time last season in Seattle. DeSerres is scheduled to start in goal tonight (Saturday) vs. Tokarski and Spokane in Seattle’s home opener. The T-Birds are the only team in the WHL without a point this year (0-5).
