Drouin had three points for the second consecutive game and earned First Star as the Moose scored a big road win against the Titan, 5-2. Halifax outshot A-B, 44-17. Drouin tweeted earlier in the day that tonight was a big game for his club. The defending Memorial Cup champs are 8-2 in their last 10 games and are within three points of Blainville-Boisbriand for the top of the table.

Blujus and North Bay, fresh off a win over Kingston, fell hard in Guelph, 7-2. The Battalion only managed 18 shots on goal in the game. Guelph scored six times in the second period.

Dotchin (pictured) broke an eight-game scoreless streak with a goal and two assists – all in the first 12 minutes of the hockey game. His goal came while shorthanded. Dotchin’s three points in one game ties a career high, set twice before. He accomplished it last December and in February of 2011 during his rookie season. His plus-4 rating on the night is a new career high for one game.

Ikonen is now scoreless in two games after starting the season on a nine-game point streak. Kingston has two goals in their last two games against North Bay and Sudbury. Northern Ontario hasn’t been kind to the young Fronts.
