Ontario Hockey League

Brampton Battalion 3 @ Sudbury Wolves 4

D Dylan Blujus, BRAM: 0-1-1, -1, 0 PIM
Season totals: 41 GP, 2-16-18, -8, 30 PIM

Brampton spotted Sudbury a 4-0 lead through two periods before chipping at the lead to pull within one goal with seven minutes to play in regulation. The Battalion couldn’t get the equalizer and lost, 4-3. Blujus’ assist came on the power play. He has registered at least a point in only six of his last 22 games (9 points total in that time).

Owen Sound Attack 3 @ Plymouth Whalers 4

D Jake Dotchin, OS: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM
Season totals: 36 GP, 2-12-14, +2, 39 PIM

Owen Sound crossed the border into Michigan and found themselves down 3-0 after two periods. The Attack scored three times in just over two minutes mid-way through the third period, but a power play goal by the Whalers with 13 seconds remaining made the comeback all for not in the standings.

Peterborough Petes 3 @ Kitchener Rangers 4 (SO)

D Slater Koekkoek, PBO: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM
Season totals: 38 GP, 6-22-28, -26, 28 PIM

New coach Jody Hull has the Petes playing at a high level, and the league’s last place team went toe-to-toe with Kitchener before falling in a shootout. Koekkoek’s 5-game point streak came to an end in the loss. The teams combined for 97 shots on goal, with the Rangers winning that statistical battle, 49-48.
