Somppi assisted on the first of Benoit-Olivier Groulx’s (2018 draft eligible) goals, a power play marker in the 2nd to give the Mooseheads a 3-1 lead. Halifax would go on rout the Sea Dogs behind the two goals from Groulx and a goal and two assists from blueliner Jared McIsaac (2018 draft eligible). Both Groulx and McIsaac, along with Filip Zadina, are all possible 2018 first rounders.

Raddysh and Katchouk both scored 1st period goals, with Raddysh potting a power play marker in what would eventually be the game-winner. Katchouk followed with his goal coming just 45 seconds before the end of the first. After a scoreless 2nd period, Raddysh set up a Jack Kopacka (ANA, 2016 4th round pick) power play tally in the 3rd, and Katchouk would setup a Jordan Sambrook (DET, 2016 5th round pick) shortie. Then a Soo snowman happened.

Matthew Struthers (2018 draft eligible) scored twice for the Battalion and Christian Propp (undrafted) stopped 32 shots as North Bay marched into Peterborough and scored five straight before Logan DeNoble (undrafted) netted a single 3rd period marker for the Petes to spoil the shutout.
