They’re in. Florida clinched a playoff spot Saturday night in the franchise's 1000th game with a big home win over South Carolina. On Friday night the ‘Blades scored five times in the second period to beat the Rays 5-2, and tonight they scored four times in the middle frame to beat the Rays 4-2 to complete the three-game sweep of South Carolina. Florida sits in fifth place in the East, three points ahead of Wheeling and four ahead of the Stingrays. Sebastien Piche (pictured) scored for the third straight game and had a Gordie Howe hat trick (goal, assist, and fight). He’s really come on lately. Pat Nagle sat backup to John Muse for the third game in a row since he returned to the ECHL.
