Kyle Bushee scored just 20 seconds into OT to give the surging K-Wings a gritty 4-3 OT road win against the Quad City Mallards. The nail-biter seesaw affair sported three lead changes with Kalamazoo coming back twice from 1 goal deficits, and ultimately clinch the all important divisional extra point. In his first game with the K-Wings since being reassigned from Syracuse of the AHL, Bolt Prospect overager Stefan Fournier scored on a feed from fellow prospect Brian Hart in the 2nd period to give Kalamazoo its first lead 2-1. Later in the 3rd, Bolt Prospect Cam Darcy would set up Peter Schneider for a PP marker to knot the game at 3-3. Nic Riopel continued his torrid win streak, stopping 27 of 30 Mallard shots to secure the victory. Shout-out to Cam Darcy who has 11 points in his first 10 games with the K-Wings along with a +7 rating. Next up for Kalamazoo is a home-and-home series Friday and Saturday nights against the Central Division bottom dwelling Indy Fuel.
