Florida fell behind 3-1 in the second period but only managed to trade goals before falling in regulation to Reading. Pat Nagle didn't have a banner evening but was, on at least two goals (the second and fourth allowed), partially victimized by circumstance. Dan Milan, scratched last game, and Charles Landry, returned from Syracuse, were back in the lineup for the Everblades. Alex Hutchings remained out for the third-straight game and Maxime Langelier-Parent is still inactive due to injury. Florida (8-8-5, 21 PTS) continues its road trip against Wheeling (6-8-3, 15 PTS), which is at the bottom of the Atlantic division standings, on Friday.

Alaska broke a one-all tie and scored three times in the third period to finish off Utah in the first game of a four-game series. Joey Crabb, Scott Gomez and Nick Mazzolini led the way offensively for the Aces with a goal and an assist each. Former Lightning goaltender Gerald Coleman, who has started every game since joining the Aces, continued his impressive run and is now 5-0-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .930 SV%. Nate Thompson was out of the lineup for just the second time this season. Alaska (17-5-0, 34 PTS), which has won its last six matches, and Utah (8-9-2, 18 PTS) square off again on Friday.
