If any win over your rival is a good win, then any weekend sweep of your rival ending with a blowout win is Christmas. While Barberio is eight points better than he has ever been in his QMJHL career, he’s three goals shy of his career high for goals, set last year in 66 games.

The Spits destroyed Sudbury 6-0, outshooting them 40-16. Likely 2010 first overall pick Taylor Hall only managed two assists in the game. Hall is now at 95 points (36 goals) for the season (54 games). The Wolves are tied for seventh in the East.

Oshawa is now the worst defensive team in the league with 270 goals against in 62 games. My calculator tells me that's 4.35 goals against per game, yet Zador’s GAA has just now topped the 4.00 mark. Despite their lack of defense, the Gens are just two points back of Niagara for the eighth spot in the East.
