Burke placed on waivers

As expected, Lightning placed Sean Burke on waivers per TSN report published today - hopefully he will get picked up and some of his $1.6 mil salary can be off-loaded.

$100K of relief
$100,000 of cap relief is the only guaranteed relief you get when you send an over 35 player to the AHL. We'll have to cross our fingers and toes & pray for a miracle for any portion of the rest of the $1.5M to go bye bye.
Today's Damien Cox blog entry stated that the Devils GM Lou L. is lobbying hard to get Mogilny's salary erased from the Devils cap woes because of a "long term disability". If Lou is successful maybe perpetual back disability flares up for Burkie?
Anyone with an update?
It is rumored that he is at camp here in Springfield today. I haven't seen any information about his call-up which is when he supposedly would be most likely to be claimed off waivers....
