Bolt Prospects Adds Staff Member

Bolt Prospects is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Gallimore as a staff writer for the site.

Mike, founder and operator of the Lightning blog, provided updates from the Lightning's prospect development camp this week in partnership with Bolt Prospects. He has been an appreciated and faithful follower of our work since we were publishing updates on the old Sunshine Network messageboard. When we created in 2005, Mike made the jump with us to this online community.

We feel Mike shows a strong and in-depth understanding of the Lightning, it's organizational system, and how NHL teams are built. In addition, he shares our social media philosophy of treating Lightning media and fans with respect.

As a resident of the Tampa Bay area, Mike will provide more of a local representation for the site at games and events when he is able. On the site, he will write prospect features and provide reports based on NHL advanced stats and supplementary analysis. We also share his vision for a website where Lightning fans can find an independent repository for all things Lightning past, present, and future. With Mike's help, we will be working toward that goal in the near future.

While was building toward that objective, and our offer to Mike did not include a condition of suspending his blog, he has chosen to do so in order to strengthen BoltProspects. We certainly appreciate that choice.

In other site news, profiles for 2012 draftees have been posted and our supplemental rankings will be released soon. We will have additional features throughout the offseason.
