AHL Game Night: 12/10/10 Penguins at Admirals

Norfolk gets a huge win despite losing their leading scorer(s) to call-up.

WBS-2
NOR-4

Dustin Tokarski stopped 33 of 35 shots he faced for the win. He's always been a big game goaltender, and this was as huge a game as you'll get in early December for the Admirals.

First Period
NOR Berry, (8) (Vernace, Wishart), 2:18 (PP)
WBS Johnson, (5) (Tangradi, Sneep), 5:13 (PP)
NOR Angelidis, (9) (Berry), 8:24

Second Period
NOR Milam, (4) (Angelidis, Berry), 7:56
WBS Johnson, (6) (Wallace, Potter), 9:05 (PP)

Third Period
NOR Giliati, (4) (Durno, Barberio), 6:21

Alex Berry, Mike Angelidis, and Tokarski were the game's three stars. It's amazing how players like Angelidis and Berry, who were third liners just a month ago for the Admirals, are stepping up and performing in scoring line roles.

Radko Gudas and Chris Durno are tied for third in the AHL in plus-minus at +14 with Gudas going +1 tonight.

The win is huge because Norfolk moves to within 5 points of the Penguins for the East Division lead with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton holding a game in hand. Norfolk can move even closer if they can follow up tonight's win with another victory tomorrow night in the Pens' barn.
