AHL Game Night: 12-18-11 Admirals at Bears

Norfolk throws down the gauntlet in the AHL East Division, after spending the entire third period smacking Hershey in the face with it.

NOR-6
HER-3

Jaroslav Janus allowed 3 goals on 25 shots for the win. He had a rough first period allowing a quick goal early and a bad goal late to drop the Ads down 3-1. But, credit to the scrappy Slovakian tender, he shut the door the rest of the way to earn his second straight win.

Philip-Michael Devos and Mark Barberio were the game's first and second stars.

Wow. Just, wow. It takes a really good team to do that to Hershey in Hershey, especially on the third night of a three game weekend. Holy cow. Norfolk knots the East Division up all over again with 37 points a piece between the Bears, Penguins, and Admirals, although Norfolk is giving up a game in hand. Still, I don't think they'll enjoy what the Admirals left underneath their trees in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hershey the last two nights. Those weren't just wins, those were statements of intent for a hostile takeover of the East.

Panik attack, y'all.
