Admirals Recall Curadeau

In response to the Steve Downie's recall to Tampa Bay, the Norfolk Admirals have recalled forward Mathieu Curadeau from the Fort Wayne Komets of the IHL, Admirals General Manager Mike Butters announced today.

Curadeau, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound native of Montréal, Québec, has appeared in 13 games for the Komets and leads the team with 12 goals – including five power play markers. His 19 points rank third on the squad and he also has seven assists and 14 penalty minutes with a +2 rating. Curadeau attended Admirals training camp and appeared in three preseason games, scoring one goal and one assist with six penalty minutes and six shots on goal. Curadeau signed an AHL Standard Player's Contract with the Admirals on August 27 and was assigned to Fort Wayne on October 6.

The 23-year-old is now in his second full professional year.
