Barrie cut a 3-0 lead to 3-2 early in the third period, but a Greyhound power play goal assisted by DeAngelo extended the lead for the final time midway through the final frame. The Soo has won six straight games and are undefeated since DeAngelo and the other new additions joined the lineup.

Masin had his fourth multi-point game of the season and now has goals in two of his last three games and points in three of his last four. Perhaps this is the blossoming we’ve been expecting in the second half.

Darcy had another good night statistically for the Phoenix, but it was almost all for not as Sherbrooke lost leads of 4-0 after one period and 5-2 after two. They won the shootout 2-1 to take the extra point. Darcy did not have a shootout attempt.
