Harvard finished fourth of four teams in the 58th Beanpot Tournament, losing 4-1 to Northeastern in the consolation game Monday. Killorn created a few scoring chances and drew a penalty, but did not find the scoresheet. Harvard was outscored 10-1 in the tournament. Boston University will play Boston College for the championship.

With his seventh goal of the year, Killorn topped last year’s total of six to set a new career high. His goal tied the game at two earlier in the third period, but Yale (14-6-3) pulled away from rival Harvard (6-13-3). Harvard is in eighth in the ECAC, while Yale is tied for first.

Vermont moved to 13-9-4 on the year. They are in a three-way tie for fifth in Hockey East.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish 1 @ Western Michigan Broncos 4

Season Totals: 26 GP, 2-4-6, -10, 59 PIM

WMU completed their sweep of the Irish, outscoring them 11-3 over two games. Witkowski (pictured) received a minute misconduct for the second straight game. He is now tied for the team lead in penalty minutes. Riley Gill (undrafted) made 54 saves for the Broncos, and Derek Roehl (undrafted) had a hat trick. WMU is 11th of 12 teams in the CCHA.

With his two assists Friday, Killorn (pictured) set a new career high for points in a season at 15. He had 14 last year as a freshman in 30 games.

Marshall was back in the lineup on the fourth line as Vermont improved to 13-9-3 on the year.

A big upset win for the Broncos over the Irish. Witkowski was thrown out early in the third period for checking-from-behind. He now faces a possible suspension.

The streak without a Beanpot tournament title continues for Harvard, who hasn’t won since current Carolina Hurricanes broadcaster Tripp Tracy led them to a championship in 1993. Killorn had the game’s first shot and created more than a few scoring chances, but Harvard looked disorganized and was badly outplayed by BC.

A great showing by the Broncos at No.1 Miami. The Redhawks scored the winner with under five minutes left in the game.
