Ilves 0 @ HPK 3
Anders Lindback, Ilves, Did not play
Season totals: 13 GP, 4-6-3, 3 SO, 2.33 GAA, 412/443 (.930 SV%)
Ilves had a hard time generating much of an attack and succumbed to being shut out by one of the top clubs in the league Thursday. Ilves did manage to hang around, tied or down just a goal, until the final period when KalPa extended its lead twice, with one of the two goals scored coming from former NHL forward Eric Fehr. Ville Kolppanen started his second-straight match with Anders Lindback still nursing the minor knee injury he suffered in practice on Tuesday. Kolppanen (33/36) again did an admirable job filling in for Lindback considering the bulk of offensive activity, as usual, took place in the Ilves end. In the contest, HPK nearly doubled up (56 to 29) the visitors in attempted shots. Ilves (6-18-3-5, 29 points) is now off until next Friday, the 28th, when they will host KalPa (13-9-7-5, 58 points). Lindback, whose injury was expected to keep him out approximately ten days, may or may not be available to return to action then.
