Former Crunch player Jordan Henry scored the game’s first two goals as the Everblades defeated the visiting Komets, 4-1. PM Devos, who has seen time with Tampa Bay's AHL affiliate over the last three seasons, had two assists for the Everblades. Florida moved ahead of Fort Wayne by two points into fifth in the tightly contested Eastern Conference.

Florida had an early 2-1 lead but couldn’t hold on in Greenville. Gauthier received a 10-minute misconduct on top of a roughing penalty.

Florida sits in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, but only six points separate teams 2-10. Greenville is in eighth.

In other minor pro news, Brampton (CHL) lost to visiting Wichita in a shootout, 4-3. Daniel Milan was plus-2 with no points.

Orlando scored on their first three shots of the game against former Lightning first rounder Riku Helenius, who was quickly pulled from the game. The Solar Bears couldn’t hold the lead, however, as the ‘Blades scored four times in the third period to claim victory, including two late goals assisted by Bolt defensive prospect Charles Landry. Danick Gauthier was assigned to Florida from AHL Syracuse before the game and Max Parent after the game.

Florida is eight points behind South Carolina for first in the South Division with three games in hand.

In other minor pro news, Brampton (CHL) beat St. Charles, 6-3. Lightning prospect Dan Milan was scoreless, minus-1, with one shot on goal.

Florida took an early lead but three-straight Fort Wayne tallies proved enough for the hosts to take the final game of the series. Kristers Gudlevskis had a rough night, his worst statistically since his third game in net for the Everblades. It was only the second time Gudlevskis let in more than two goals. Danick Gauthier, Maxime Langelier-Parent, Charles Landry and Carl Neilsen were still on assignment with AHL Syracuse. Dan Milan was scratched. Florida (13-5-2, 28 PTS) now returns home to take on Colorado (11-3-3, 25 PTS) for a back-to-back set beginning Friday night.
